26 years ago, Q Leisure and Brighton Karting originally started as ‘QUADLAND’, a friendly family enterprise run by husband and wife Peter and Yvonne Peacock with their four children Ross, Lloyd, Hannah and Carly who are all part of the team.
QUADLAND was a purpose build track situated at Washbrook’s Farm Centre in Hurstpierpoint, West Sussex catering for rides, birthday parties and group bookings on weekends only. The activity was primarily for 6-12 year old children but also provided bikes to cater adults, for rides only. Peter and Yvonne were pleasantly surprised at the success of their venture and slowly but surely managed to turn QUADLAND into QLeisure. This success to the business resulted in Peter and Yvonne investing in a large plot of land to expand their company further, 5 minute round the corner on London Road.
QLeisure has come a long way since Washbrook’s, open all year round, running a variety of activities from Clay Pigeon Shooting, Axe Throwing and Archery, with their most recent and most popular activity being Outdoor Go Karting. After an extension to the track, Go Karting had to become its own entity, introducing Brighton Karting.
QLeisure and Brighton Karting has now grown into the largest Activity Centre and Go Karting track in Sussex, catering for not only families but Corporate team building events and Stag and Hen do’s.
